The Bering strait between the Eurasian and American continents found by Semyon Dezhnev - pioneer and discoverer
The authors of the documentary movie repeated the route of the Russian pioneer Semyon Dezhnev - drove through the north of Russia from the Arkhangelsk region to Chukotka.
This is an amazingly beautiful movie. Kruglov and the team shot more than three hundred hours of material, from which only unique shots were added to the documentary - the walrus hunt in the Arctic Ocean, the winter at the “pole of cold” in Oymyakon, the snow-covered columns of Manpupuner.

Having overcome 10 thousand kilometers on dogs, deer, boats, paralets, risking life and acting contrary to circumstances, Leonid passed from Arkhangelsk to the Bering Strait.

All this had to be experienced in order to find the answer to the question about the great events of four hundred years ago, which forever changed the course of Russian and world history.
The author tells the story of the creation of the modern Russian state, the advancement of the Russian "frontier" to the east in the 17th century, trying to understand how attractive these harsh lands are for people. Everyone will find food for thought in the movie. Someone will think about the limitless possibilities of a person, someone better understand their homeland, see the beauty, inaccessible to the ordinary tourist. But everyone will be fascinated by the Russian North. And they'd want to experience it as well.
